I was supposed to stay here two nights, but I couldn’t do it. The room was UNSAFE and in overall DISREPAIR. Shards of glass were in the carpet next to the sink (see photo); how housekeeping missed them, I can't imagine. One electrical outlet was not fixed to the wall and it and its two attached plugs were right on the bed sheets. The door lock was nearly falling off. Every dresser drawer was off its runners and sticking out. Rusty tub fixtures and floor lamp. VERY dim lighting, even with all lights on. What else? Oh, hairs from two different people on pillows and in tub. Musty-smelling towels. Minimal, cheap toiletries & coffee, not what you’d expect from a “resort”. When I mentioned the safety issues to the management, they did not apologize but seemed unconcerned, saying only that they’d notify housekeeping. The good: terrace was spacious...but overlooked a busy (i.e., noisy) parking lot, and had only a sliver of a view of the bay. First thing next morning I went to the Hilton Garden Inn Town Center for lower price, clean, safe room and greater amenities (fastest internet I've ever experienced!). I will NEVER AGAIN stay at the Virginia Beach "Resort".
