We used a new on line booking site to make our reservations, all went well with this but no reviews available, Our criteria for choosing a hotel for our first visti to VA BCH were, ocean front and affordable, at $266 for the first weekend in May it was not cheap but certainly less than the majors. Now for the hotel, the receptionist was positively the rudest person I have ever met in my entire life, she was in a foul mood, communicated in grunts and had no business being in any service industry. She asked for my credit card to take an imprint and when I pulled out my plastic (mostly grocery store VIP cards and Barnes and Noble type membership cards) She found it appropos to comment with a sneer that she "never owned a credit card in her life" it got worse before it got when we finally got our room key (thrown at us) our room was ok , but there was NO air conditioning, the bathroom fan did not work, and the room positively reeked of stale cigarette smoke (we had to buy febreze and a scented candle), On the good side the view was terrific , and the actual room was pretty big and reasonably clean. In the morning the housekeeping staff were a happy lot full of smiles and pleasant passing conversation..maybe the management needs to put the housekeeping staff in front of house and keep the grumpies out of sight.

The motel has beds that are so old and outdated that we were unable to sleep the whole time we were there. The only electrical outlet in the bathroom did not work. The TV was out of the dark ages.
We checked out early and were promised a refund if the room was rented again--BUT of course this did not happen.
The only good thing this motel has to offer is the view of the Gulf.

If you are looking for a hotel that is RIGHT ON the beach- this is the place for you. My ground floor room was right next to the bike trail/boardwalk at VA Beach. From the living room couch, I had a perfect view of the surfers and the waves. I could walk to restaurants via the boardwalk and enjoy the beach scene.

The room was very clean. It was a 2 room efficiency with a pull out couch, table, microwave, fridge, stove, kitchen table/4 chairs. It had 2 double beds and 2 TVs.

This place is perfect for a traveling family or couple! I would definately return to this hotel.

My husband and I have stayed every year for four(4) years. Thanksgiving and Christmas. We loved the king tub, the large bed(even though we knew it was two beds together), the quiet, the isolation--it was perfect for our yearly getaway together. We are going back this year, too. Keep up the good work, in sprite of .
