Our experience at Red Hot and Blue probably proves that restaurant reviews especially should be taken with a grain of salt. My husband thought it was fabulous. My teenage daughter and I thought it was just about the worst BBQ we've ever eaten and a complete rip-off. (But I'm writing the review, so it gets one star!)
Kid and I got sandwiches (pork and beef respectively). The sauce that came on the sandwiches was tasteless, but when I drowned the meat in enough vinegar-based sauce, I was able to choke it down. (I left the bread though ... a soggy white roll.) The potato salad was even worse. Unseasoned potatoes mixed with equaly unseasoned mayo. (Kid opted for beans, which she said were ok.) Hubby got one of the combo platters, so maybe if you avoid the sandwiches you'll do better.
