We were delighted when we drove up to the Cedars - it looked warm and welcome with beautiful lighting and landscaping. The room was wonderful, the bed awesomely comfortable. We enjoyed the staff and their sincere care of us as guests. Warm and comfortable in atmosphere with gentle ambiance.

We just returned from our trip from the Cedars. We chose it for the historic feel of the building but never realized it was only a 7 mintue walk from Colonial Williamsburg. The entire house was just stunning and meticulously clean and tidy. In fact, being a bit of a perfectionist I spent the first 5 mintues we arrived in our room looking for dust. Never found even a little. The breakfast we were served was excellent, and the host and staff curtious and friendly. We walked into our room to find rose petals and candy on the bed! We found it very thoughtful that they had remembered that we were spending the first night of our honeymoon with them. I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys and appreciates an old world feel with modern convenience.

From the moment we entered, we knew we were in an oasis. The room was very cosy, the location was ideal (walking distance to Merchant's Square, directly across from William and Mary), and the hosts and staff very personable. We were allowed privacy, yet could easily engage in conversation.
The most unique touch was not only the digital photo at breakfast, but the transfer of that photo to a brochure -- a marketing genius, and one that will surely draw repeat visits.
The Cedars are definitely a place I'd return to, and bring others to experience.

We spent three days here staying in the cottage as I was travelling with my husband, Mom and Dad.

Both rooms in the cottage are decorated very well and are extremely comfortable. The local area is quiet so it is very relaxing place to stay.

Breakfast each morning was plentiful and mouthwatering! Especially the peach cobbler!

Both the hotel owners are very welcoming and knowledgeable and the conversation with other guests at breakfast is welcoming and sometimes very informative.

Overall a very nice place to stay.
