This Hotel was so beautiful, the lobby was stunning with the Atrium and the glass elevators, wide hallways, large rooms. It was close to everything. The workout room was really well outfitted, nice flat screened tv's on the wall. The pool and hot tub were nice even though they were outdoors. The internet was really expensive $2.99 to connect and .59 cents a minute...Yikes! There is a Tully's in the lobby wich is a coffee shop, Starbucks prices but not Starbucks :( We had some issues with our toilet not flushing right.

Our family just stayed three nights in the newly named Hilton and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our double queen room was spacious and quiet. The beds were great and the room was clean. There were some signs of aging like marks on the wallpaper, but no big deal. For $95 it was a great deal. Also they didn't charge for parking, which I was fully expecting after reading the other reviews. This hotel is close to downtown Seattle (15 minutes / non rush hour) and has shopping and restaurants less than 5 minutes away. The one side of the hotel backs on to the Freeway so we opted for the other side of the hotel. This is a large property which appeared to be deserted at times. We had previously stayed at the Sheraton in downtown Seattle, but opted not to spend $200 a night plus an additional $28 for parking. This hotel, even if we paid more, was a better choice than the Sheraton for our family of four.

I spent a weekend in the Doubletree while it was undergoing a conversion to a Hilton. The first room was not properly cleaned at all - e.g. the trashcan was full and the bed looked like 2 people had been laying on it. The next room was okay - large and clean for the most part, but the room and sheets still did have a stuffy smell, some lamps didn't work etc but I didn't complain because I think that's as good as it gets in there. After all, clean and quiet are the most important properties for myself. But housekeeping wasn't very good, they pretty much only made up the bed. Maybe they've cut down on housekeeping while the $8m renovation is ongoing. Didn't look like they were working on fixing the rooms though, just the lobby and restaurant. Still the rooms are much better than in the Seattle Hilton!
