“Great rooms and great location to shopping and dining”

I have stayed at the Bellevue Hyatt numerous times. It's a great location to stay for a night or two when I go for a shopping weekend in the Seattle area. I first visit the Burlington Outlets and then Seattle Premium Outlets and then make my way to Bellevue. The area has developed so much in the past few years and the Hyatt has gone through a complete renovation but still has very reasonable prices compared to the Westin next door for almost identical looking rooms. They frequently have shopping package deals and when you call in the morning of check out and request a late checkout because you want to do a little more shopping at Bellevue Square before heading out, they are very good at accomodating your requests. All the staff have always been very helpful, attentive and friendly.

I highly recommend this hotel!

“Great Location!”

We opted to stay in Bellevue rather than inner Seattle so that we could stay somewhere nicer for our money. I'm extremely pleased with the location of the Hyatt--it's easy for those who are unfamiliar to the area to find as well as easily accessible from all major points of interest from Seattle (20 minutes to downtown). The hotel itself is located in a triangle of three large buildings boasting cool upscale shops and eateries; each building is connected by a skybridge, although the hotel's skybridge is currently under construction. Fabulous for the tired traveler; you can walk from your hotel to eat an expensive dinner or as we did, make a quick pickup from the Cheesecake Factory down the street for dessert. One of the buildings has a nice mall. We recommend Pagliacci Pizza in Bellevue Square; they have some of the best pizza in all of Seattle.

The hotel itself is exactly what the website has pictured. Our room is newly decorated and extremely comfortable. Large flat screen LG television; plush bed; a large desk, fridge (hidden nicely away under the television) and a chair for reading. The bathroom is a standard Hyatt bathroom--Kohler fixtures and the toilet paper roll is hidden neatly away under the sink (you might want to keep this in mind!). Bathtub features a reclining back, so it's actually comfortable. Our drain was broken, but I'm hoping that was a fluke. Complimentary toiletries are Portico brand Lavendar Citrus scented--which I actually use (I'm normally a snob) and are unisex. Internet access can be purchased through Team Mobile for 9.95 a day, which was a letdown after the hotel we stayed at before with free HiFi. Views are incredible. The staff at check-in was extremely pleasant and efficient. I'm terribly pleased with our stay thusfar. Everything is extremely clean and new. Parking will run you fifteen dollars a night and is located underneath the hotel.

We would definitely stay here again.

“Great location and nice stay everytime!”

I've stayed at this hotel probably a dozen times over the last several years. If you haven't been here since the major renovation last year - you will find a very nice new place. Everything from top to bottom has been renovated.

Rooms are big and clean. Bedding is upgraded and comfortable. I personally appreciate that the expensive mini-bar choices are no longer present and that you can actually store things in the fridge. For a typical stay for me - 4 to 5 days - this is a very nice feature.

Location is excellent - whether you are working in Redmond, Bellevue or Bothell. Nothing is more than a quick 15 minute ride up the freeway. Once you are back in the hotel - you can walk to both expensive and nice or casual and nice restaurants. This entire area is booming, so you can walk to shopping, movies, dinner or just a coffee. Everything, including a grocery store and a Bartlett's drug store, is within a few blocks.

“Standard Hyatt experience - but be aware of the 'extras'”

I usually stay here 5 nights in a row a couple times a year. The hotel is conveniently located in the center of Bellevue and opposite the Bellevue shopping with a number of good restaurants in its proximity. Especially if you are on one of the top floors, the view is great and from the south side you have a wonderful view over Lake Washington. The quality of the hotel is what you normally expect from a Hyatt hotel, and no complaints on that side. However me (and my collegues) felt a bit unfairly treat with regards to the breakfast: usually in this kind of hotel you pay a fixed price for the buffet and pretty much all you want is there. However, the buffet is very small and half of the things that you would normally expect (like toast, jam, orange juice) is not available. The waiters offer to bring that separately, to later find out that all of the non-buffet items have to be paid separately. For example we only took one yoghurt from the buffet but had to pay the buffet price + the a la carte price for the additional items which easily adds up to $30. This does not look very fair if you pay over $200 room rate. Moreover, if one stays in a hotel while on a business trip you want to be able to have a quick breakfast instead of waiting for waiters all the time: it easily takes 45 minutes to have a normal breakfast. The same thing goes for the minibar: it is empty, so you have to order expensive room service even if you just want to have a soda. This is not very convenient...

“Very nice hotel, good location”

Hyatt Regency Bellevue

4 of 5 stars
Richland, WA
May 30, 2007

The Bellevue Hyatt is a very nice hotel. The property is situated across the street from the Bellevue Square mall. The rooms are modern and clean with very little signs of ware. The staff was nice and quickly resolved a maintenance problem in my room. Although the parking garage is open to the public, there was plenty of parking available.

There is a wide variety of food, entertainment and shopping choices within walking distance. Getting to downtown Seattle is quite easy as along as you avoid rush hour traffic. I would stay at this property again without question.
