I recently stayed at the Lakeway Inn for two nights. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. I enjoyed the pool although when there are children it can get noisy. Nicole at the front desk was very helpful and made some good recomendations for the Bellingham. Overall my stay was great and the martini bar is fun.

My stay at the Best Western Lakeway Inn was wonderful. The room spacious, clean, and the amenities offered (pool, restaurant, etc.) were great. And items I hadn't brought with me (razor, conditioner, etc.) were available at my request at the front desk. Very nice!! I definitely recommend staying here :)

Our first hotel experience on our honeymoon in the US of A, and the Best Western did not disappoint.

We got a very large room with a queen-sized bed, large 32" TV, desk, couch, coffee table and free internet access, for about $90US - a bargain compared to the "higher end" hotels we stayed at in Vancouver BC.

The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable of the community, and the building was new and very presentable, though finding the building coming off the highway from BC was tricky in the dark. There is a restaurant there, and though I did not eat there, the menu looked quite appatizing and the prices were reasonable.

The pool and hot tub were open until 11pm for "adults only", which was quite nice and relaxing. The room service was quick and well-priced, and the complimentary newspapers and coffee in the lobby were well received. My wife and I also used the hotel shuttle on two occassions with excellent results (we took the ferry back to Canada, and the port is about a 10 minute drive away). Likewise, it is about a 10 minute drive away from the downtown of Bellingham, though there are many amneties, including groceries, located within a 10 minute walk of the hotel.

All in all, we will certianly be staying at this hotel again the next time we are in Bellingham.

I just returned from a brief trip to Bellingham, Wa to visit a friend whom I've fallen in love with and after telling her so I was on top of the world. The room I stayed in was magnificent and spotless. The housekeeping staff was courteous and extremely professional. On the day I was to check out I got up early and went jogging around Lake Paddin for about 2.6 miles when I returned to my car it would not start. I returned to the hotel and explained what happened. Your staff was so accomodating, courteous, and compassionate. Not knowing when repairs to my vehicle would be completed they really worked with me to insure that if I needed anything I could count on them for assistance. This was truly awesome. This was my first time in Bellingham and your staff was much like a happy family. Please give my thanks to them with a big hug.

I also had the pleasure of have breakfast and dinner in the Oboe Cafe. Liz was my server and what a server! Liz was articulate, friendly and professional in addressing my dinner and refreshment needs. She was truly a diamond in your service industry.

Poppe's Bistro was equally as good and I will recommend your establishment to all I know who are visiting the Bellingham area.

To your staff at the Best Western Lakeway Inn and Convention Center thank you for taking such good care me. God Bless you and keep up the Great Work. I shall return. You truly have it going on.
