“What A Lucky Break...”

Inn at Goose Creek

5 of 5 stars
Golley
Aug 16, 2008

The luckiest break we got that night was there were no vacancies at the Holiday Inn! We looked across the parking lot and saw "INN AT GOOSE CREEK" and walked in. From the moment we walked in, we were treated extremely well. The Inn was so much like a bed and breakfast - each room had it's own theme. We were allowed to peek into the rooms that were not occupied and each room carried it's theme right through to the bathrooms (very very spacious bathrooms I might add). The rooms have bay windows, window seats - very spacious! The beds look inviting and definitely lived up to the look - very comfortable. The Inn-keepers couldn't have been friendlier - even took pictures for us! Breakfast was fantastic - the smell of fresh baked goodies filled the house. There were books, games, movies - all sorts of things to choose from. We will probably not be back in this area - but I will let friends in the Northwest know about this treasure...unless I can talk them into moving to Dallas! G.Olley - Dallas, TX

“Makes you smile”

Inn at Goose Creek

Aug 5, 2008

This is the first hotel I've stayed in that made me laugh. It's brilliant - eccentric but wonderful. In an increasingly bland world, it just stands out. We had the rose room, and the bed was like the one in the princess and the pea fairy story with a huge thick mattress. I haven’t had to climb up into a bed since I was a little child.

When we arrived, I was a little put off by the location. It's almost in a gas station yard and on a strip mall, but it really doesn't matter. Inside is another world.

Not only does the accommodation stand out, but the people running the hotel are very friendly and helpful. For example, we asked for a dinner recommendation and when we got to the restaurant they had rung ahead and told the owner to expect us because it was getting late. We had a very nice meal, so it was a good suggestion.

Highly recommended.

“Country Charm”

Inn at Goose Creek

5 of 5 stars
Seattle, WA
Aug 4, 2008

During previous trips to Ellensburg, we had stayed at one of the many chain motels in town, but had noticed this inn back off the road a bit and decided to try it on our next visit. Plainly put, we will not stay anywhere else in Ellensburg if at all possible. Old country charm permeates the entire inn, the common sitting area beckons one to catch a nap in the afternoon rays. Our room (English Ivy, although we coined it The Frog Suite in honor of the many residents) was as comfortable, clean and tastefully appointed as any I have seen around the country. The beds were very roomy & comfortable and the goose down comforters are a very nice touch. Gary & Ylwa were so friendly and gracious, we were made to feels like old friends who had come to visit in their home. If you can’t relax here, you are too tightly wrapped.

“Just Like Family”

We attended "Jazz In The Valley" in Ellensburg for the fourth year and for the fourth time stayed at The Inn At Goose Creek.
Each room at the inn is beautifully decorated in a theme (antique, spring, rose, christmas, cowboy, etc.). The rose room was our home away from home this year and once again we were delighted by the decor and the comfort of our surroundings. A great nights sleep in a king size pillow top bed was followed by a generous contintntal breakfast in the sun filled dining room .
We look forward to our stay at The Inn At Goose Creek each year and especially we look forward to visiting with our hosts Gary and Ylwa Mabee. They always make us feel like family. See you next year!

“Love the Inn”

Inn at Goose Creek

Jul 13, 2008

We stayed in the Antique Room, as it is fully ADA.
It's a wonderfully appointed room, with beautiful antiques and even a fireplace! Beautiful plush carpet that feels wonderful for tired feet! A cozy chair to relax and read in was nice. The best nights rest we have ever had anywhere, on a pillow-top bed, with cozy down comforters and down pillows.
A very congenial host welcomed us, he was very helpful with showing us the Inn . Nice light continental breakfast that's served late enough you can actually sleep in and not miss.
We highly recommend the Inn, what a hidden jewel !
