My mother and I arrived at the Courtyard on June 16. Check-in was quick and easy, and the lady who checked us in (Diana) was very friendly. We took one of the two glass elevators up to the fifth floor and entered our room (520) - it had two queen beds, just as we had requested. One very nice feature about the Courtyard's queen/queen rooms is that they all have double vanities - one sink/mirror inside the bathroom and one right outside of it. We were also pleasantly surprised by the presence of a balcony we could walk out onto. We could also tilt the sliding balcony door for ventilation. Our room was equipped with a large desk and chair as well as a mini-fridge. The beds were comfortable, and the shower had plenty of hot water (even for my long showers). Everything was extremely clean.
The Courtyard Café was open for dinner, but we opted to eat at the Red Lobster just a couple minutes away on the main road (320th Street). The food was fantastic there.
I went down to use the pool that night; the water was kept at a very comfortable temperature, nice and warm. I never used the hot tub, but there were many people in it, so I guess it was pretty comfortable.
In the morning, we were originally planning to eat breakfast in the Courtyard Café, but we slept in a little bit and didn't have time (we told our relatives we'd be at their house by a certain time). It also looked very clean; as we exited the hotel, we saw many people eating breakfast there.
If I was ever in the Federal Way area again, I'd definitely choose the Courtyard. The staff, amenities, cleanliness, value, and location of this place just can't be beat.
