“Excellent Hotel - Would Definitely Stay Again!”

My mother and I arrived at the Courtyard on June 16. Check-in was quick and easy, and the lady who checked us in (Diana) was very friendly. We took one of the two glass elevators up to the fifth floor and entered our room (520) - it had two queen beds, just as we had requested. One very nice feature about the Courtyard's queen/queen rooms is that they all have double vanities - one sink/mirror inside the bathroom and one right outside of it. We were also pleasantly surprised by the presence of a balcony we could walk out onto. We could also tilt the sliding balcony door for ventilation. Our room was equipped with a large desk and chair as well as a mini-fridge. The beds were comfortable, and the shower had plenty of hot water (even for my long showers). Everything was extremely clean.

The Courtyard Café was open for dinner, but we opted to eat at the Red Lobster just a couple minutes away on the main road (320th Street). The food was fantastic there.

I went down to use the pool that night; the water was kept at a very comfortable temperature, nice and warm. I never used the hot tub, but there were many people in it, so I guess it was pretty comfortable.

In the morning, we were originally planning to eat breakfast in the Courtyard Café, but we slept in a little bit and didn't have time (we told our relatives we'd be at their house by a certain time). It also looked very clean; as we exited the hotel, we saw many people eating breakfast there.

If I was ever in the Federal Way area again, I'd definitely choose the Courtyard. The staff, amenities, cleanliness, value, and location of this place just can't be beat.

Just back from a 2 night stay for a convention being held at this hotel. This was the fastest check in I have ever had. I had the key in my hand within 30 seconds of handing them my credit card.
We had a king suite room with jacuzzi tub. Beautiful room. Very large with a living area (tv, pull out sofa, 2 chairs and table), large work desk, nice chair, very large wet bar with mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave. There was a separate bedroom that had a tv as well. The bathroom was quite large and had a jetted tub that fit one person. You might squeeze 2 in there, but it would be squeezing.
The bed was so extremely comfortable. I think it was one of those memory foam beds. I didn't want to ever get out of it!
We had a balcony with a sliding glass door, but did not use it. We faced the freeway and could hear a bit of traffic, but nothing overwhelming.
This hotel is quite large and feels like a 4*-5*, although due to amenties and services it is probably more of a 3*-4*. Limited room service from 5-10 pm only. They do this because there is a cafe open for breakfast and lunch and I guess it drives business to that. We had the breakfast buffet ($8.95/adult $3.95/child) and it was good. Typical breakfast buffet foods with make your own waffles and made to order omelets. My omelet was not all that great and was more like a plate of scrambled eggs. Overall good breakfast though.
The pool was quite large and very nice, but could have been a couple of degrees warmer. I did manage to get in, but got cold quickly. They need to heat it a bit more. Nice jacuzzi that fit about 8 people. There was also a work out room.
Free coffee/tea in the lobby, and in the late afternoon/early eve they put out fresh baked cookies (yummy!).
There is a little sundries shop (or more like a closet!) that has some things that might be needed/forgotten.
I would definately stay here again. It was very close to the I-5 and easy to find. Also very close to many restaurants, the Commons Mall, etc.. There is a movie theater directly across the street that you can walk to as well. There is a Marie Callendars restaurant on site as well.

“Impressed”

This is my second stay at this hotel and have been impressed both times. It is one of the newer "highrise" style Courtyard hotels, and as such does not have a proper courtyard area - however, I believe the rest of the facilities more than make up for this. The rooms are much larger than most new Courtyard hotels. The bathroom has two vanities - one in the toilet/shower area and one outside the bathroom by the closet. This is a great feature when travelling with more than one person. They have the new Courtyard beds, which are wonderfully comfortable. I also love that they did away with the nasty old bedspreads that were never really clean, in favor of freshly laundered duvet and duvet covers. The front desk staff is friendly and effiecient. The hotel has a complimentary shuttle to the airport that leaves every hour on the hour. I think this is a great feature that most hotels this distance from the airport do not provide. The shuttle will also take you anywhere within a 5 mile radius of the hotel - I recommend dinner at Salty's (good seafood and right on the water). The rooms that face the freeway can be a bit noisy, but the trade-off is a great view of the mountains on an sunny day! If you are not going to stay in Downtown Seattle, this is a great option.

“A real value if your justy staying overnight”

Nothing fancy but nice clean rooms with great service. Freeway view not so hot but this is a great deal for the money if your just staying over nigth waiting for a flight etc. Easy parking - great front desk staff!

Many restaurants of all types within walking distance.

Close to freeway as you can get but not too noisy at night.

Shopping: Avoid the local christian bookstore across the parking lot from the hotel; very rude and abrupt attitude does not go well with the products they advertise to say the least - - instead, try YWAM in North Seattle for some great christian book/Bible deals!

Under $100, this is my shortterm choice in Seattle.

“Great Place to Stay!”

Courtyard by Marriott Seattle Federal Way

Our family stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in
late July of 2004.
The hotel and its staff were very nice.
The swimming pool area and outside courtyard area lovely.
There is always complimentary coffee, fresh apples and cookies available in the front lobby.
My husband was on a business trip and while Dad worked the family played.
We enjoyed having so many restaurants, stores and
even a movie theatre within walking distants of
the hotel.
The view of Mount Rainier from the glass elevators is not to be missed.
This hotel is nicely located not far from Downtown Seattle and SeaTac Airport.
We would loved to stay at the Courtyard Marriott
in Federal Way, Washington again.
