“Love those Beds!”

My son and I arrived during the 4th of July week. The weather was fantastic as were the property owners, Shelly and Chris. We were greeted with a tour of the B&B. I loved my room with the balcony and left my balcony door open in the evenings to receive a cool breeze. The beds were heaven sent. I'm usually an early riser but the bed was so comfy that I had to force myself out of bed. Breakfasts were delicious :) I can't say enough about the crispy bacon and the perfect eggs over medium served within a heart-shaped toast. My son & I agree that the buttermilk, oatmeal pancakes with maple syrup were to die for and Shelly was thoughtful enough to give us the recipe. Shelly & Chris were very helpful in suggesting places to visit in the Skagit Valley as well as other areas in Washington. I don't want to write a dissertation but I could. Queen of the Valley Inn will be my #1 choice when visiting Washington. We'll be back with more friends and family.

“Warm, Friendly, and Wonderful”

Host Shelly Davis anticipated our every need. Her breakfasts were great. Her "donut muffins" rolled in butter and sugar were perfect and the Dutch Babies with Bacon breakfast was exceptional. The restored farm house has been lovingly made into an excellent bed and breakfast. Shelly is like a one-woman chamber of commerce for La Conner and the entire Skagit Valley. We've got to go back!!!

This is the second year in a row that 7 of us have stayed at Queen of the Valley Inn in LaConner. Shelly and Chris are wonderful hosts, the food is fantastic and service is outstanding. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable including a never ending coffee pot. They made arrangements for dinner reservations, spa therapy or what ever our hearts desired.

The rooms are generous in size, nice bathroom, and special little touches like "spa robes' so that you can lounge around and have a relaxing breakfast.

Very close to the downtown area.

We just enjoyed a memorable family weekend at the Queen of the Valley Inn in La Conner, WA.

Shelly hosted the most fabulous surprise tea party for my sister's 50th birthday!! I left the details up to her and she amazed us all with her creative ideas and fabulous pastries.

The sunny, enclosed porch was perfect for the tea party and it was a beautiful day to enjoy the front steps, too. The house is naturally inviting with the warm woodwork, wood stove and relaxing decor. There is nothing stuffy about this royal home.

My sisters and I later stayed up too late chatting and watching a movie in the unique two-bedroom suite on the third floor. It has great views of the surrounding farmland complete with window seats in both rooms. My husband and two boys (3 & 6-yrs old) joined me for a second night and they loved it just as much as the girls did. The king size bed was amazing--I slept so well I didn't move at all for two nights in a row.

It's a great place for a family gathering or getaway in La Conner!!
