Stayed at the Days Inn at the end of May. The front desk clerk was very helpful and friendly, but the good points ended there.The hallway near our room smelled very bad - likely due to the stain on the old carpeted floor that I suspect was vomit.The elevator was out of service. One of the doors leading out had a non-functional locking mechanism, meaning you had to walk to another entrance of the hotel to get back inside.The worst part though, was the surprise my wife showed me in the morning. A cockroach on his back, flailing his little legs, on the bathroom floor.
We left a note for the manager through the non-English speaking night clerk. It was never answered. We repeatedly contacted Days Inn Customer Service via their web site. Two plus months later, we received a $20 Days Inn Credit Voucher in the mail - with no apologies - from the hotel in Mt. Vernon. Needless to say - we won't be going back.

Room was dirty and smelled very bad. Beds were horrible to sleep on.
