We stayed at the tulip inn before boarding a ferry to Vancouver Island the next morning.
We arrived after hours - close to 11 PM, and the lobby was closed. There was also a sign stating "No Vacancy", though we'd booked a room with guaranteed late arrival. I was concerned that we'd be in trouble, but upon pushing the buzzer a female voice told us our keys were in the "Night Drop". Problem solved!
There was one parking spot remaining in the lot for us (in addition to the handicapped parking spot).
We were put in the last remaining room, the handicapped room. It was small and oddly shaped (due to need for wheelchair accessibility I'm sure) with low mirrors and a walk-in/roll-in shower stall.
Everything was very clean and tidy. The shower had a removable shower-massage tool for easy use by disabled persons. We enjoyed that too.
There was no wireless Internet, but there WAS an ethernet cord in the room on the desk for free wired high speed internet! This was refreshing after a few nights in hotels with slow/poor signal "Free Wireless"!
We woke up and left early in the morning to catch our ferry, and the lobby wasn't open yet. We left our keys and a note in the night drop. There were no problems with charging our credit card and I have no complaints about this hotel at all.
