Stayed here last month (2/05) for one night. It's one of the only coconut coast hotels. I just took the non-ocean view room for $89/night, and it was fine. The grounds are beautiful & directly on the sea. It had AC, something most top Kauai resorts don't even have, which mostly drowned out the street noise. I found the place rather quaint - like pre-tourism quaint (there's not much of this left on Kauai).
OK - so the bed was a bit soft and the room small, but you're in paradise - get out of room and into the ocean! You get what you pay for: as my dad would say, you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
If you've never been to Kauai (especially you honeymooners), you won't be happy staying here. I stayed here as Lonely Planet guide recommended it. We simply needed to stay somewhere for one night before checking into our timeshare in Princeville. There are several places to eat just south down the street.
