We spent one week in August 2006 and went back for another week in August 2007.
Small but CLEAN rooms, great TEMPUR bed, nice Staff, great location.
For a couple that just shower and sleep in the room it's very cheap.

Let's be clear- this is not a hotel, at least not by my definition. All rooms are entered from the outside and are in one of four (maybe 5) small buildings that are connected by walkways. They do have one computer located where the front office is, and you get time on it the amount depending on whether or not people are waiting. I think they give you 10 minutes if there's someone there. There was "complimentary" breakfast which was really a comeon for the Orbitz rep to sell you tours. Breakfast consisted of fruit, coffee and rolls..
The room was small and clean but the walls were so thin we could hear the guy next door snoring as if he was there with us. The TV was small, and there was a small refrigerator and microwave as well.. All rooms are a very short walk to the beach. Parking on the south side was very difficult, hard to get in and out of spots because the driveway was so narrow and deadends. Better to park in the lot on the north side, which is near the real hotel that is next door.
The price was good as was the location. I was just disappointed because I was expecting a real hotel with somewhere to hang out after my wife went to bed (she's a very early to bed person). It was strictly a place to sleep and keep our stuff
The location of this hotel is awesome. You can walk a few meters and you're right on the beach, in a very nice spot for snorkeling. You can also walk along the beach and find some other nice places for diving (all recommended in a dive / snorkel magazine I got there).
It's also a couple of km of Wailea Shopping and some delis and stores.
The bad part is the parking, especially at night, is always full because of the restaurant there (and you have to use the public parking next to the hotel). And also the rooms are very small (not a big problem considering there's so much things to do there, that you end up using the room just to sleep in).

Business serviceAs someone else has said, I was hesitant to write a review of this hotel, because I love this place so much I didn't want the "secret" to get out...but, I will review it anyway, since I believe it could deserves it.
Yes, this hotel is small. Yes, the rooms are small. But, you're in Maui, you're not going to be in your room doing more than sleeping and showering anyway. This is also one of the few hotels that is ON the beach in Kihei, which is a fantastic location, not too crowded. When you're on the beach here it's easy to feel like a local, not just some tourist crammed into some expensive resort. You get the real aloha that is Maui.
My husband and I used to live on Oahu, and I have stayed at this hotel on Maui twice, and the next time I go back, I'll be staying there again.
Aloha.

ServiceStayed for 1 week with my wife. Weather was unreal, calm 30s every day!
Rooms were nothing special, small but clean and had a fridge to keep drinks etc. If your looking for a resort type of accomodations this is not the place. If your looking for a bed and plan to spend the majority of time at the beach, this hotel is perfect. For one of the cheapest hotels in Kihea, we really had no complaints. The hotel is literally 5 steps from the beach! After loading up supplies (like everyone else on our flight) at Costco, we were set for the week.
