My husband and I stayed at the Aina Nalu for a week. We were upgraded from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom unit.
It was very clean, nicely decorated and spacious. We visited friends in Kihei and while it was nice to sit out and watch the waves, we were also happy to be able to stroll down to the waterfront restaurants on Front Street.
Our room opened up onto a parking lot, but some of the rooms that open up onto a lawn or by the pool would be ideal for families.
The washer and dryer (and laundry soap) were great, the kitchen was well equipped and we figured the free wireless balanced out the parking cost.
This isn't a great hotel for hanging out at all day, but for the few hours we were there each day (aside from sleeping) it was perfect for us.

“Best Condo deal in Maui, and right in the heart of Lahaina!”

Aina Nalu has been completely redone and the rooms are very nice. Our unit had slate floors, granite counters and 3 flat-screen tv's with enough cable channels to keep our kids happy.

Now with free wireless internet around both the fresh water and salt water pools, and complimentary BBQ Grills, we could save by cooking up steaks and chicken, or walk to dozens of restaurants along front street. (Foodland is also within easy walking distance).

We also liked being a 7-minute walk from the harbor where the whale watch, fishing, snorkeling boats as well as the Lanai ferry departs. Aina Nalu is actually closer to the harbor than the parking lot we used to use.

The beach is just south of the harbor. It's not Kaanapali, but then it's not as crowded either.

We've been to Maui many times and always wind up spending most of our time in Lahaina, so Aina Nalu is a great choice for us. We recommend it to everyone, especially families!

We booked a one bed apartment at the Aina Nalu for 3 nights in Mar 08 and were lucky enough to be upgraded to a 2 bed apart on checking in. This place has been renovated recently and the quality of the furnishings is excellent. Flat screen TV's in every room almost, really comfy bed and the showers in the bathroom were roomy and well designed. Aveda products in the bathroom the finishing touch...
The pool area is not huge but very classy and comfortable. Location in Lahina is great and walking distance to everything, but set back off the main street so quiet in the evenings. And during the day it is an easy drive from Lahaina to lots of lovely beaches (Aina Nalu has plenty of onsite parking too at $15 a day).
We loved Maui and there is still lots to do there that we couldn't fit in this time round - when we come back we will definately stay at the Aina Nalu!

My wife and I are in our late fifties and have traveled a lot in our 35 years of marriage. We have never had such wonderful accomodations as we did at Aina Nalu. We were accompanied by my sister and a female friend of ours. From the first moment of arrival when we walked up to the front desk, to when we checked out, it was great. It was easy to locate. It is located away from all the typical resort areas and we really liked that. We prefer the quiet neighborhood setting to the brash resort atmosphere we have experienced in Kaanipali in the past. But we were close to Front Street if we needed to find the crowds of people. We had a rental car that we were able to park very close to our entrance no matter when we returned from one of our site seeing trips. We were able to walk to several fine restaurants, local shops and the grocery store in the evening. The staff was awesome and did a wonderful job of not being conspiquous. The rooms were clean, well decorated and all the major and small appliances worked well. I feel like I could go on for days bragging about this place. I just wish I could find out how to purchase one of these places.

“This place is PERFECT”

My three adult children and I spent four wonderful nights at the Aina-Nalu in Maui. It was just perfect. The staff were helpful and very friendly. The accomodations were so wonderful, we all mentioned that we could move in and be totally happy living there. Everything was very well taken care of. The laundry facilites in the condo were a god-send. The only complaint (if you call it that) would be that the smaller of the 2 bedrooms did not have a fan, and got a little warm. The airconditioner is in the living room and the large bedroom had a ceiling fan that helped keep things comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with every kitchen item that you could need or even want. The grounds were beautiful and tranquil. This was only 2 blocks from the main strip in Lahaina and yet, was very quiet. I will definately stay here the next time I get to Maui.
