“Stay in A or I Building - Oceanfront all the way.....”

Too much rain

Stayed in A103 for two weeks this March. Would definitely recommend the A or I buildings since they are ocean front. The other buildings face each other and might have slight ocean views, but walking through the grounds, we could hear TVs, conversations, crying babies, children playing - it was all a bit noisy for us.

Consider the A building the best because there is no beach access in front of it, so the only people using the small grassy area between the building and the rocks are the people staying in the building (12 units in this particular building)

A 103 looks exactly like the pictures, has lots of storage, a very comfortable wall-bed, is decorated nicely and the bonus of an in-suite washer and dryer.

This is not the unit for people who say all they do is use the room to sleep. This is for people who appreciate lovely, clean surroundings and attention to detail.

Leave the sliding glass doors open and listen to the sound of the waves all night long.

“Excellent Vacation Value for MAUI”

We found this one by owner. It's a great place for the value when your in Maui. The condo was remodeled with granite tops and plasma TV, overlooking the pool. This place has 2 restaurants and a bar. It's not a place for singles or swingers. More of a family oriented place also suitable for older people. Has 2 pools and a hot tub. It was built in the 70's so don't expect the facilities to be in new condition. Beach is nice and you must have a car here to get around. Air conditioning is not common here and may not be in your room. We found it was not necessary this time of year, but the dissadvantage of keeping the windows open is the noise from people walking outside or getting up early. I was also awakened by the next door neighbor one night who was snoring like an elephant. Over all we loved it and would stay here again if we came back to Maui.

HIGHLY reccomend this hotel! This was my 3rd visit to Maui and the best one yet! My fiance and I stumbled on Napili Bay on a previous trip and HAD to stay next to this beach for our next return. We had an ocean front room In Nov 07 that had vaulted ceilings, a kitchen fully stocked with everything you'll need, large bath w/ granite and romantic decor! It was awesome having the slider open at night to hear the waves! Their restaurant was always packed in the mornings. Locals love coming to breakfast because of the amazing views! We would order our food to go and eat it at the pool instead of waiting an hour like some people did :) Very close to the beach, a lil strip mall less than a mile away with a grocery store etc... We got engaged on Napili Bay and are planning our wedding there in Nov of 2009 and we have to have our guests stay here just so we can say "now you see what we mean" :) Cheers!

“Enjoyed the Napili Shores”

We rented our studio gardenview room from the owner and saved a lot of money. The setting is just gorgeous and the atmosphere is wonderful with the plumeria trees growing all around. They have barbque grills for you to use if you prefer to cook out. The aroma from the cooking makes your mouth water and almost makes you want to make quick friends with the cook so you can taste his creation. Anyway, we didn't do that although it was tempting. We enjoyed the great breakfast at the Gazebo and when i returned this past year to Maui, we drove down twice to the Gazebo for the great macadamia nut pancakes, even though we didn't stay here again. I still like the location of this property, it really seems like paradise here without all the big high rises. The room was fully furnished, and the staff was very friendly. The lack of an air conditioner was not as inconvenient this time of year, but i imagine in the heart of the summer months it might get quite stuffy. You can hear the noise out in the parking lot and then the early risers walking and talking in the courtyard. The only disappointment was the the bed. The mattress was not very comfortable and by the fourth night i started dreading to lay down to sleep and i hope by now they have new mattresses. This is the only complaint I have of this property. I was reading that they have gone through renovations, so i hope this means all the units and new beds. I would love to stay here again if that is the case.

This is a great property for families. It is quiet, safe, kid friendly, small, and clean. It is a great place to hang out. We loved the community barbecues.
