My boyfriend and I (in our mid-20s) stayed here for four nights and we truly enjoyed our condo...room 113.

The bedroom included a flat screen tv, radio system, a dining/living area, queen bed, and a fully equipped kitchen (utensils, knives, pots, pans, dishes, tupperware, etc.) The bathroom included a a changing area (the closet & sink) which was seperated from the room through one door and from the shower & toilet through another door. I am very particular when it comes to bathroom cleanliness and up-keep...Noelani surpassed my expections.

The view from the room is beautiful. We were located right behind the pool and our view overlooked the pool and beach. There was no problem with noise from the pool....quiet time begins at 10pm every night.

Concierge service is fantstic. Bruce was excellent in helping us plan our trips. I recommend calling concierge in advance (a least two weeks) and they can help you plan and reserve your activities. Bruce definitely saved us from being taken advantage of and not falling into tourist traps. All the activities we schedule through Bruce (helicopter ride, snorkeling trip, and road trips) were fun and we got everything that was promised to us (seeing dolphins, whales, turtles, great staff, etc).

Also, the locatin of the condo is perfect...7-10min from Kaanapali Beach Resorts/Whalers Village (shopping/restaurants/bars); 15min from Lahaina Town/Banyan Tree (entertainment, restuarants, movie theaters, etc); 45min from Waalea (boat ports/Buzz's Wharf; and 60min from Kahupuli (Airport, Costco, Wal-Mart, Krispy Kreme). The locations are actually very close, but the time it takes to get to the location is a bit long because the average driving speed is between 35-40miles per hour....tops.

Please note, 113 is right beside a small driving path. I'm a light sleeper, so i had to sleep with ear plugs due to the sound of cars driving by (it's not a main road, so cars are not constantly driving by) and the beach lapping. Otherwise, Noelani Condo is perfect. Check-in & check-out is very easy....there's maid service....and the location is close to the dense tourist areas, but far enough to provide the calm & relaxed maui that is hoped for.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom condo and it was everything we hoped it would be and more! What a beautiful place to stay! As soon as you walk in through the front door, you can hear the ocean waves and the view is spectacular! We saw turtles, whales, and surfers everyday from our lanais. We fell asleep and woke up to the sound of waves, as if we were sleeping right on the beach! We grilled lunch and dinner on the outdoors grill a few times, cooked breakfast, used the swimming pools, hot tub, and workout rooom (tiny but has a great oceanview!) All facilities were clean and there was never a crowd.

The mai tai party was nice, and Bruce was very helpful and knowledgeable, except for advising us that the Feast @ Lele Luau would be better than the Old Lahaina Luau, which we did not agree with. Our opinion remains that the Old Lahaina was better. Our whale watch/sunset dinner cruise he booked for us on the Teralani was SUPERB! A whale and her baby swam right up to our boat! It was an amazing evening! We also booked a sunset sail on the Kapalua Kai ... nowhere near the same experience! I would highly suggest NOT booking with them.

The condo was perfectly equipped with everything we could possibly need, and the mail service was great. They provided clean towels and other essentials, even when it was not a cleaning day.

The office staff was not overly friendly, as mentioned before, BUT I never experienced any problems. They helped me with everything I needed, and printed out our boarding passes for our flight home. A gentleman who manages the property let us park up close to the resort behind his vehicle one night when we arrived late and could not find a parking spot. He did not have to do that and we really appreciated it!

I was concerned about the fact there is no air conditioning, but this was NEVER a problem. The winds that blew through the condo provided a perfect temperature for us all 10 days we were there.

Overall, this was an amazing experience for all six of us. The location and amazing oceanfront view was just perfect. We couldn't ask for anything more. If and when we return to Maui, I will most definitely book again at the Noelani.

Our family including 2 grown sons and grandma stayed at Noelani for 10 days in January, 2008. This resort has a wonderrul oceanfront location. We slept about 25 feet from the surf! We saw whales and turtles from our unit every day. Bruce, the concierge, was very knowledgable and helpful in booking activities for us. Definately well worth the time spent that first morning!
We had a nice 3 bedroom condo, unit 305 which was in need of repairs. Management responded with some of the repairs within 2 days. The upstairs toilet was leaking and leaving a puddle on the floor. That was fixed the second day of our stay. The master bedroom was missing one of the sliding closet doors. That was not replaced during our stay. So, it looked pretty tacky. Under the open stairway there was a pile of paint cans, etc and that area had not been cleaned in recent history. Otherwise, housekeeping did a very nice job. Yes, the comments you read about the back bedrooms of these units facing the parking lot and therefore subject to noise are true. It did not seem bothersome to our family though. More bothersome was that if we kept the master bedroom door closed at night, there was no way for air to flow through to the upstairs back bedroom.
Management was not friendly which was disconcerting. We all would hope for a pleasant greeting on arrival and it was clear that this was just a job for these people. A minor flaw, but one easily fixed. How hard is it to smile?
Be forwarned that although this resort is a great bargain and in a nice location, Maui prices in general are exhorbitant. We were last on Maui in 1985 and my how things have changed! Little aloha left here. We cooked most of our meals in the condo-by the way it was no problem to get a grill to use each evening-but the price of groceries was spectacular!
Overall we would recommend this resort to those looking for a reasonably priced oceanfront resort away from Kaanapali and not interested in being on a beach. The adjacent beach is not swimmable during winter, but there is a decent beach within walking distance. We enjoyed the beaches on the south shore which is a +1 hour drive.

My husband and I just returned from a weeklong stay at the Noelani Condominium Resort. We stayed in a first floor one bedroom unit, #115, in the Orchid Building. I was originally concerned that the unit was immediately in front of the swimming pool, but it turned out really to not be much of an issue . . . . we were gone doing activities during the day when the pool was busy and there weren't alot of children, so the noise level was okay.

The condo itself was beautiful and worth every penny! We had a larger than average end unit with a fully outfitted kitchen, huge bathroom with a stackable washer and dryer, huge bedroom with patio doors and a livingroom with a full sofa, eating area and another set of patio doors. The maid service came every 2 days and took good care of us.

The view at this resort cannot be beat. Pay extra for the oceanfront rooms . . . they truly are oceanfront and worth every penny. Many of the other guests have stayed at Noelani every year for many years and are very friendly and welcoming . . . the resort very much has a small-town, family feel. I'd recommend this location for everyone except party animals. This is a very relaxed, low key complex with strict noise rules from 10 pm to 8 am (which we loved!). We enjoyed the two pools and hot tub and were actually able to enjoy the hot tub without any other company on several nights of our stay.

The only negative comment I'd have about our stay is the front desk staff which is in need of some customer service training. They give the impression that they really don't like customers very much and my interactions both on the phone and in person were not very welcoming. The exception to this was Heidi, who always had a smile on her face and a willingness to help, even going out of her way to try to get our room ready early and to call us when it was available.

We would definitely stay here again . . . they only thing keeping me from rating Noelani 5 stars is the customer service level at the front desk.
