“new rooms; old property”

the hotel rooms were nice but the hotel property-lobby, elevators, grounds were just old. we expected a resort like atmosphere- what we found were grounds in dire need of landscaping- more motel than resort.

“Wnderful Resort and staff”

We have been vacationing at the Royal Lahaina Resort for the past 14 years and probably logged in over 150 days. The newly remodeled rooms are wonderful. The resort staff has always made an effort to make sure we were satisfied with our accomodations. This year (2007) the manager found out we had a personal tragedy and suprised us with an upgraded suite. We stayed 10 days and felt like royalty. The kindness we were shown was heartfelt and will always be remembered. The morning breakfast buffet is always a treat. We have seen the resort go through various changes in the last 14 years and it just keeps getting better. All we can say is if you want to spend a wonderful vacation on the island of Maui, kick back, and leave your troubles at home, then the Royal Lahaina Resort is the place to be.

This year we were going to miss our trip but couldn't bear to. It wouldn't be summer without our pilgramige to the Royal Lahaina. So we made the necessary changes and are going back on May 30, 2008, for 7 nights, we can not wait.

The best review one can give is to return. We have done so for 15 years.

“What a life”

We stayed in the towers 1st 4 nights OCEAN front and the next 10 days on the 9th floor towers with ocean view we were all over the Island and I would go back to the Towers everytime we just loved it there and the staff was absolutely great. What a fun time for our 1st visit, thank you Royal Lahaina, Roger & Lori

“awsome place”

Stayed here for two days before an emergency back home called us back. Started in the cottages and they were horrible. Moved quickly to the tower oh my what a difference of one half star to a 4 plus. Beach was beautiful and location was perfect. Bad was the pool was small rectangle. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The Royal Lahaina Resort is comprised of two primary accommodation types, the original cottage accommodations and the newly renovated 12-story Lahaina Kai Tower rooms and suites, all located on 27 acres of grounds fronting a very exclusive stretch of Maui’s Kaanapali Beach.

The Royal Lahaina Resort cottage accommodations are currently being upgraded with new soft goods (carpeting, linens and interior / exterior paint). The cottage rooms offer a moderate level of accommodation and good value for this world-class setting and unique accommodation offering traditional Hawaiian ambiance. Cottage rooms are set amidst the resorts tropical gardens and oceanfront lawns and allow direct access to the pool areas and beach. Room rates for the cottage accommodations is set at the entry level pricing for oceanfront resorts located on Kaanapali Beach.

The Lahaina Kai Tower rooms at the Royal Lahaina Resort have recently undergone a complete 33-Million Dollar renovation and now offer a new luxurious guestroom experience, with high quality furnishings, custom decor and state of the art amenities. This is a great hotel in a great location if you stay in the Kai Tower. Beautiful rooms, great views from the balconies, great breakfasts in the restaurant downstairs. Overall a great experience. 2 pools, great location on the beach. You can walk a few minutes up the beach to a great snorkel spot. Would definitely recommend this hotel as long as you stay in the Kai Tower. I can not speak to the other rooms as I did not see them. I simply followed the advice of others and was well rewarded.
