We stayed at this hotel for three nights in June 2008. We are a family of 5 with myself, spouse, and 3 kids (12, 8, & 2).

The front desk staff was super nice and gave great customer service.

Room was just what you would expect and nice and new. Pool had an indoor and outdoor area and were connected. They were a little small, but we didn't come here to spend time in the hotel's pool. Fitness area was good too.

Location was great. Grocery store across the street you could walk to. Restaurants within walking distance (across the parking lot). All attractions are within quick driving distance. A mall is down the road a bit and although it looks questionable on the outside (some construction) it was actually very decent on the inside. There is a movie theater across the street from the mall.

Hotel is very clean and beds were comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

My stay at the Holiday Inn Downtown in Asheville, NC was absolutley spectacular!
The employees and management were so friendly and the room was beyond our expectations.

Everything about our stay was great. From the location very close to the freeway exit and in the middle of plenty of places to eat and shop, to the friendly front desk staff, to the proximity to Downtown Asheville and the Biltmore, we couldn't have asked for more. The rooms were spacious and well cleaned for our arrival, and check out was made easy. We will definitely stay here next time we are in Asheville.

The hotel room was nice and clean and we enjoyed the flat screen television on the wall. Also, there are plenty of decent places to eat within walking distance. But the surrounding area including the run down motel next door to the hotel is not particularly attractive. This hotel was fine for a stopover to our vacation destination, but I would not stay at it if I were vacationing in Asheville. A factor in choosing this hotel was that we got a great rate for a Saturday of $100 for a room with two queen beds.
