“My Boston Favourate”

Millennium Bostonian Hotel

I started staying at the Millennium Bostonian a few years ago, and now I stay there exclusively. The staff has gotten to know me very well and I get upgraded to really nice rooms (balconies/big tubs/floor to ceiling windows/free breakfasts - way up on 7th floor)

I'm a fan of the convenient location - McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts, Martignetti's Wine & Liquor Store, Naked Fish are all there, besides overlooking the Quincy Market.

I usually get rooms for $139/169, unless there's some type of convention in town then it could go up to $289 or more.

Sure some of the rooms could be re-furbished, the carpet in some rooms could be replaced - but I can look past it. There are way more positives than negatives.

Check out the deck up on 7th floor.

“I Will Never Stay There Again”

Millennium Bostonian Hotel

I am easily pleased, but this hotel was second rate at best. The room had a dirty carpet, stained furniture that I did not even want to sit on, & a broken light fixture (that was never repaired after being reported). There is no front desk, but two small writing desks with chairs in front. I guess the idea is to cultivate a feeling of intimacy & special customer care. Nothing could be further from my experience. There was always a wait of at least 5 minutes to talk to the front desk (since I never saw more than one employee there) & then the entire lobby (if you can call it that) is privy to your conversation. And do not even think about checking in before 3:00 p.m. One night, housekeeping actually folded one of my used towels & replaced it on the linen bar. I had room service one night, which was served by a rather surly staff member, & was disappointed in the food. This hotel should be ashamed. The only thing that saved it from total disaster for me was the location..right across the street from Faneuil Hall & Quincy Market

“Great location”

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights having "won" a Priceline bid. Apparently, this was a very busy weekend in Boston and we paid a lot more than we normally would want to pay - $225. The good news was that the hotel has an excellent location and we had a very nice room. I called ahead and asked if we could be upgraded. When we checked in, the front desk clerk indicated that she did upgrade us. Our room overlooked the street in front of Quincy Market. It was a little bit loud, but not bothersome. We had a very small balcony, but it was nice to be able to open up the doors and look around.

The bathroom had a seperate dressing area with an extra sink. The bathtub was huge, too bad it wasn't a jacuzzi. The room itself had a kingsize bed, nice linens, and a loveseat and extra chair.

The staff was very nice. We dropped our bags off early, made a couple special requests, etc and all were met with positive attitudes.

We would recommend this hotel.

Stayed here 16th to 18th September, The staff were extremely helpful - After a 19 hour flight trip, I left my phone in the cab, The front desk tried really hard to contact the Taxi company to get it back. (ultimately I did get it). Few issues - charged for an international call which I did not make - they took it right of the bill - no questioned asked (Careful- there is a 65% mark up on all international calls). Small room and pricy but I guess you pay for the location - right opposite quincy market and 3 blocks away from Washington Street (Great for shopping Filene's, Filene's Basement, Marshall's & Macy's).
I would stay here again.

“Beautiful hotel, great location, a little pricey”

Two of us stayed in a single room at the Millinnium the weekend of Sept 16th. We booked and payed for the room on Orbitz and payed $350.00 per night, which wasn't bad considering there was a Boston College - Florida State football game that weekend and several large conventions were in town.
The hotel is in an outstanding location - located right next to Faneuil Hall with views of the Quincy Market and the old State House up the street. We had an elegantly decorated deluxe room with french doors overlooking Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall and although you could hear the Boston traffic, it wasn't too bad. The staff, particularly the bellmen, were very helpful and friendly. There was a farmer's market set up right outside the hotel entrance with a wonderful selection of produce and the hotel is in easy walking distance to the north end for Italian food, the long wharf for the Aquarium and trolleys, and the downtown, historic areas in Boston. We don't usually pay $350 a night for a hotel, but this hotel was worth it based on location alone. I would recommend it for occasions like honeymoons and anniversaries and not so much for families.
