My huband made reservations here for our anniversary. We waited about 10 mins for a window seat because they don't take reservations specifically for a window seat. The view was fantastic. The service we had was outstanding too. Not only was our server great, but on the way to the table, we were escorted by two people, one carrying our drinks from the bar, the other with the menus to pull out chairs and seat us. Also, at the end of our meal, our server reserved the last window seat for us over in the lounge and had all of our leftover wine and water brought over so that we could enjoy live jazz at the end of the night. The food was incredible too. Get the COOKIES! They're amazing. I'm not sure why this restaurant doesn't have better reviews because we had an wonderful romantic evening with perfect service and fantastic food. Top of the Hub was everything a nice restaurant should be!

My boyfriend took me here the other night for a special evening out, and it was, in all certainty, the best restaraunt experience I've ever had.

We were seated immediately to a gorgeous window table overlooking the financial district and immediately ordered cocktails to enjoy the view while we perused the extensive menu. I ordered the "Level 52" and it was perfect- fruity, bubbly (from champagne), and just enough to take the edge off a long workday. We ordered two appetizers; duck confit and the scallops. The duck was superb, and the scallops sweet and tender. For entrees, I ordered the dry aged sirloin and my boyfriend the seafood composition, which is curry and udon noodles with every assortment of seafood imaginable. They were both amazing! I for one never order red meat out to dinner, but I was assured by the server that it was prime beef, and he certainly was right. For dessert we ordered a cookie platter to share, and we were surpirised with the size and delectableness of the cookies that came fresh from the oven, oozing and steaming!

It definitely was an amazing evening. Service was impeccable-the best I've ever had, and I've dined in many upscale, fine dining institutitons. Our server's name was Fadeel, and I would certainly ask for him again! The view unbeatable and food top notch! I don't understand how some previous guests that have posted on this site would have though otherwise. It'sa certainly a place to enjoy the evening with guests from out of town, or for those that simply love intimate atmospheres, amazing views and food.

We were told also while we dined that the restaurant just recieved a $4M facelift- and it shows, it's asolutely beautiful. They also have a lounge area that offers late-night dining at an understandable $24 minimum/person. I certainly wouldn't want to waste my time as a server with college-aged kids that show up very late and order only appetizers or the cookie platter. Another plus about the lounge is the live jazz that plays every night.

It was an unfogetttable experience and the best dining service I've ever had. I'll be back often.

We only spent a few minutes at Top of the Hub, but it was fun while it lasted. We headed into grab a drink and a view of the city, and thats exactly what we got. The drinks were very good, they make a killer dirty gin martini [extra dirty].

The view is spectacular. Located pretty central to downtown Boston I can definitely recommend this place for drinks, and a view. They had a great live jazz band playing that night, and it added just the right ambiance to the room as we gazed out at the night skyiline.

I made reservations a week ago. The plan was for my girlfriend and me to take my mother and niece from out of town to an exciting locale for dessert after our very nice dinner in Back Bay (Casa Romero). Upon arrival they promptly refused us seating, saying that I should have known we couldn't have dessert in their dining room. They did offer to let us get at the back of some line to wait for a seat in their bar... where there was a $24 per person minimum for the privilege of eating their desserts. We asked if they would make an exception and they said no. I was willing to pay exorbitant prices for mediocre desserts in exchange for a nice view, but not to be refused our reservation, wait in a long line, and pay $100 for the four of us to just sit in their bar.

It was insulting and embarrassing. And it was something they at least could have mentioned when I made the reservation a week ahead of time. Fortunately we chose to leave this over-rated, pretension restaurant and have dessert at a far superior spot down the street… J.P. Licks.
