My family and I had an exceptional experience at Tower23 Hotel! They made our first visit to San Diego an unforgetable one!

The first night that we checked in, the whole family was exhasted from an early morning flight and an afternoon spent at Sea World.
Manuel, the VERY polite and accomodating gentleman that greeted us at the front desk, went WAY above and beyond the customer service that I would ever expect anywhere (and I'm VERY big on service!).
It was late, and we really didn't want to go outside of our hotel room, but some how and some way, we still neded to feed our children...lol. So, since the dining room/kitchen was closed, Manuel offered to walk to any of the surrounding restaurants to get us food and then offerer
d to deliver it to our room!
In the mean time, the kids fell asleep (and wouldn't wake up to order), I still felt that Manuel's sweet and friendly gesture was over the top NICE and definitely set the positive vibe of our whole trip to San Diego and stay at Tower23 Hotel!!!!

The hotel is very attractive, even more attractive than the website photos make it seem. The location is fantastic-directly on the beach-prime people watching location. It is definitely one of the nicer hotels in the area-some of it's neighbors are downright seedy. We were room upgraded without asking. The room was super comfortable with an ocean view, and doors out to the rooftop deck (lounge chairs, mini water fall, fire pit). We don't usually indulge in the mini bar, but they had such unusual drinks that we couldn't help ourselves! I highly recommend trying the Peels Blueberry Pomegranate...
We ate at the hotel restaurant-which faces the beach. We were there for sunset, which was such a nice touch. The food was really delicious and unique. It is not inexpensive, so be prepared-this is not burgers on the beach.
My one complaint is that the "valet" experience was not fantastic. Specifically, I think it's pretty ridiculous to charge $20.00 for parking on top of a $249.00 room rate. I'm assuming that parking is at a premium on the beach, but I still think it's in poor form to charge that much.
That being said, we would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend it to others.

Stayed for one night on our 5 yr anniversary(march2nd) in the sancturary suite... I give it a complete 5/5! I would recommend to anyone looking for a short/long gateway. very Clean, very modern, and cannot beat the view...

My sister and I stayed there for two days and will definatly be back. The Ocean views were amazing. They have a patio that you can hang out on and have drinks and it is for guests only. If you want to mingle there is a restaurant and bar below. We mainly hung out on the patio and just watched the waves and people pass by. It was exactly what we needed.

It is very close to restaurants and shops, within blocks. It was also just enough out of the way the you weren't in the heart of Pacific Beach and all the bars but could walk 4 blocks and be there.

We did eat at the restaurant Jordans one day for lunch and the food and service were wonderful. They serve Sushi at night but we never got a chance to try it. Our Bellman Randy was very helpful and knowledgable about the area and even filled our ice bucket up for us.

The best part of the entire stay were the beds, I have a thing for down comforters and pillows. I usually travel with my own pillow but didn't have to use it. I had a tough time getting out of bed. We will definatly be back, or at least I will anyway!
