The hotel itself is quite nice, actually, so I kind of hate to give it a not so great review. BUT, I stay at hotels to sleep and if something interferes with that, the review will reflect that.
In this case, surprise, surprise, the AIRPORT was a significant problem for me. Yes, I stayed here because of its proximity to the airport, but I don't live in Atlanta and have no idea about traffic patterns. Sometimes you hear NOTHING at airport hotels. That's not the case here. I stopped over in Atlanta on my way back to Denver. Had just the one night and I had an early flight next day so wanted to go to bed early (like 9 PM). that was made impossible by all the noise of aircraft (taking off, I think). It was so noisy I could only assume I was hearing take-offs. The windows would vibrate, it was so loud. The roar of the planes was kind of unnerving and ended up really getting to me. By time the noise settled down, I was keyed up from all the noise.
Sometime around 11 PM or so it had quited down enough, I was finally able to get some sleep. Still, I didn't WANT to stay up that late and was pretty tired already.
NOTE: I don't think this problem can be unique just to this particular hotel. There were loads of other hotels in the immediate area (sorry, off the top of my head, I can't name them) that also must have noise problems. I say this, but I haven't stayed in any of them, so this is just an assumption.
On the other hand, if you don't mind the noise, it IS a perfectly nice, clean hotel with convenient airport shuttle service.
I won't stay there again, but ONLY because of the noise. If not for the noise, I certainly would stay there again.
