We just stayed at the Homewood Suites-Galleria, Atlanta for our most recent convention for RE/MAX, March 3 – March 7. Getting to the property was so easy, not far from the exit 258, off I-75. This worked out great, as we had to travel in to the City for the show at the Georgia World Congress Center. It took approx 20-25 minutes to drive in. Check was a breeze, and our room was in building C, upstairs. Room was very very clean. Had a small kitchen area….sink, stove, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher. Living room had couch/hide a bed, TV, then the bedroom had 2 double beds…large bathroom/shower, and separate sink area.

The one thing we had a small complaint on was the remote control for the TV in the bedroom…we called down 2x, and stopped in at the front desk and asked them to fix it. They never did. We will be writing a letter to the manager, as they say Everything should be done to make your stay a happy one! (side note….we just emailed the manager there….they will be refunding us by check for the 3 nights, and apologized for the situation not being addressed or fixed by the staff)

There are several buildings, and they are not all connected, so you have to walk up to the lobby/lodge area in the mornings for breakfast (which is included in your room fee). We ate there every morning. It’s basically serve yourself with a girl that must be the cook and she also helps you out if you need anything. You can make toast, waffles,cereal, coffee, etc. Very nice. They also have evening meals, but we went out to eat at night after our show ended, so I can’t comment on that.

There is a nice “office” with a computer for internet access, and anything else one might need to do. Fax machine and copier available. We did use the computer every night.

There is a nice pool and hot tub outside…it was way to cold for us to use. Also, a small work out room in the lodge area.

We have another show in Atlanta next March of 2008, and will definitely stay here again. We felt very safe, and it was convenient to everything we did on our trip. We got an awesome rate online, better than calling the Hilton phone #, so give it a try. Oh, there is lots of shopping right up the road….and a movie theatre.

Stayed here for the Chick-Fil-A Bowl and had a great experience. The hotel was clean, the room spotless, and the beds were totally comfortable. The hotel was a straight shot to Atlanta, and I am really glad we stayed here. The price was ideal, and the only suggestion I could make is to have the shuttle run to Marta for the guests-could have charged a nominal fee and made a mint!

I have stayed here twice in the last 3 weeks. My first stay was in the "E Building"-- the building with interior corridors. The stay was typical Homewood Suites, pleasant, new mattresses, nice bedding, cheery check in, etc.
My second stay was in one of the buildings with the exterior corridors, not yet remodeled. In the words of my husband,"What a dump!" Every piece of furniture, lamp and picture frame was chipped, dinged and/or cracked. The bed had an old mattress with old foam pillows, and the nasty floral bedspread. The living area looked just like my house circa 1984, complete with the floor console TV and a VCR.
The deadbolt worked, but only half of the door guard lock was there; only screws where the other half should have been.
The smell was awful, some kind of deodorizer.
To top our stay off, we were not recognized as Hilton Gold in any way, and did not even receive a paper in the morning. When my husband asked, he was told they were all out. There was, however, a paper from a week before in front of the room next to us.
As the previous posted asked, "How can this hotel be #3 in Atlanta????"

We recently stayed at the Homewood Suites - Galleria during a driving trip to Florida. The property is conveniently located off I-75 (Exit # 258) in an area dominated by businesses and office buildings....check-in was smooth and uneventful (friendly staff), and our 1 bedroom suite consisted of a combination living room/mini-kitchen/dining area, with a separate bedroom (comfortable king-size bed) and bathroom....the only shortcomings were a faulty light over the bathtub/shower combo and no exhaust fans installed in the bathroom -- plus the buildings are not connected to the main building housing the lobby, which can be a minor inconvenience during inclement weather....overall, the accommodations were nicely furnished and comfortable....on Mon-Thurs they offer a light evening meal in the lobby (we were there on a Friday, so can't comment, but the menu looked appetizing)....the comp breakfast in the lobby was very good -- not a huge selection, but probably a little something for everyone (eggs, bacon, waffle station, fruit, toast, bagels, cereals, etc)....we opted for this hotel largely on the strength of its Trip Advisor rating (#3 in Atlanta, as of this writing)....with other properties in the area, such as Ritz-Carlton and Four Seasons, it's hard to see how this rated so highly, but it's a very good choice if you have business in NW Atlanta, or just looking for safe, spacious, comfortable accommodations.
