“Excellent dining experience.”

They took us around 8:30 on New Years and I'm glad they did.

The wine list was relatively brief with a wonderfully gleaned selection covering wines from about $40 on up. They had splits of bubbly for under $15 which was excellent as we did not feel like drinking alot this night.

Keep in mind that all of their steaks are graded prime and are well aged. The porterhouse, the double filet, the bone in rib eye, and the NY strip are brought to the table rare to show you the selections. These are huge pieces of meat, but they did look amazing. They also brought around a 4 pound main lobster at about $24 a pound.

The environment was distinctive and warm and much more comfortable than other stark steak house settings. We really enjoyed the environment and the beautifully dressed guests.

Because we were not very hungry we were happy to see they offered smaller selections. I chose the 20 oz rib eye instead of the smaller 9 oz filet. With prime meat, my rib eye at like most filets found at other restaurants. This smaller selection was perfect and I did not feel as if I over ate (but I had no room for dessert). At under $40, it was certainly a great value and an enjoyable eat.

My wife got the Yellow fin sesame encrusted tuna that was cooked perfectly. We both had more than enough to eat and really enjoyed the quality and presentation of both our meals.

For the side, we had the grilled asperagus to share and it was also wonderful.

We chose the lump crab meat for an appetizer and it was heavenly. I'm originally from Maryland and grew up crabbing and eating crabs, and I can assure you, it is rare to get such quality crab meat, even in Maryland. The small dish was a very good value. I made me think about coming back to try their seafood tasting on our next try.

They give you a whole onion bread for the table and this in itself is worth the trip. Also, the desserts looked heavenly and we saw a wonderful soufflé being served at the next table.

Unfortunately our waitress was unable to guide us to the cuts of meat we would most like, but we should have asked the manager for help; our fault. We ended up getting a great meal nevertheless. We will definitely be back.

Very good steak, and their chocolate martinis are to die for. Its a bit of a male decor, with the dark wood, and cigar looking smoke rooms. However they do great with their steaks

“Great experience at Morton's”

Having been to a Morton's in Nashville, we knew what to expect. We were not disappointed! We went late after the SEC game, so the place was packed. Luckily hubby and I got two seats and the bar. Ordered the filet and potato skins - service was exceptional, as was the food. The steak absolutely melts in your mouth....yum! The bartender did a great job of serving us, and I commend him considering the crowd was standing room only. For a fantastic, memorable meal, this is the place!

PS...if you are staying at the Hyatt this is within easy walking distance.
