The toilet was dirty, pubic hair on the seat, and bowl was not clean,( if you know what I mean). The fan in the bathroom was broken so you could see into the ceiling from around the fixture that wasnt properly installed. The valves in the handle for the water in the shower are installed backwards so that you have to figure out which direction to turn on the cold or hot water, this isn't fun when the shower is running and you can't adjust the water easily, water goes from scalding to ice. The door to the room had about a 3/4' inch gap across the bottom and halfway up the side of the door so it doesn't seal out the cold or heat if its in the summer, so you have a draft constantly coming into the room. The sink in the bathroom vanity as well as the tub drained extremely slow and in the tub when I happened to remove the plug because I was over ankle deep in water, there was a HUGE wad of hair in the drain,DISGUSTING! The bathroom sink smells like an open sewerline when you start to run the water, whether to wash your hands or brush your teeth etc. The maid on my floor level had her cart constantly blocking the sidewalk so we had to walk completely around the other side or walk through the gravel landscape which was a pain . Also they offer a complimentary continental breakfast which is very limited, to only waffles, bagels, coffee , juice no butter for waffles no tea or at least its not easy to find. They have various things to interact with the TV such as nintendo games, movies, listening to CD's or radio thru the TV, but when I called the front desk to find out if and what the charge was for the CD or Radio listening ,the clerk said he didnt know, but made a guess as to what it may be also the phone must have rung at least 20 to 25 times before he answered even though the hotel was not busy. In the parking lot the snow was blocking some areas which I can somewhat understand but there was a person who had truck with a fifth wheel trailer , who was parked blocking the lane to drive thru the parking lot so I had to squeeze around him which was pretty difficult because also the snow had been piled in some the parking spots there too ,instead of piling it away from the building as much as possible they just piled the snow right in front of the rooms blocking some parking spaces. Frankly its way over priced , the competency and knowledge of the frontdesk is questionable, the housekeepers dont do TOILETS, drains are clogged with HAIR and smell, some important things arent installed correctly like the room door, fan , faucet fixtures,etc.., cheezy contintental breakfast with limited choices and parking can be somewhat of a challenge depending on weather and if some occupants are towing trailers or what not. DISAPPOINTING stay, it was my first visit to Santa Fe.
