“Happy with stay....new management & new owners trying hard”

Canyon Inn

I arrived in Flagstaff needing to find a moderately priced motel to stay while awaiting for my new job to start. At first I thought I might not want to stay, but I discovered that the owners and managers were new and in the process of updating the rooms and eliminating the previous problems. I had a very good expericence ... nice people, trying hard, making progress....good value. (oh, and the waffles are very good)

“Nasty Place”

Canyon Inn

On a busy holiday weekend we ended up at this place, which is right on the main road. While it may have been convenient, it was the nastiest place we've ever stayed. Besides stained towels and sheets and the unvaccumed floor, the room had bed bugs! We awoke in the middle of the night to find little red bugs crawling in the bed with us. When we crushed the bugs they left blood streaks on the sheets. Of course we left immediately. Stay clear of the Canyon Inn unless you enjoy sharing your bed with creepy crawlers.

“You will be sick if you stay there.”

I booked this hotel on-line and paid $152.50. But when I arrived there on 05/25/07, they asked me to pay more. Should I?
The ants and insect were all over the floor, especially the bathroom. Both my wife and I got bit by insect and we were serious illness. We never see this kind hotel. Our government should not allow this kind terrible hotel in business. Please stay away from Canyon Inn for your health.

“Hated it!”

Canyon Inn

Jun 21, 2006

I was shocked at the looks of the place for the price! The staff was friendly enough but we had to ask for another towel and ant spray because ants were all over the floor in the bathroom. There had been some improvements. But the worst thing was that when we got back from a day at the Grand Canyon our keys wouldn't open the door! The staff was no where to be found. Finally someone from another motel came up and let us in our rooms. Don't stay here, I wish I had known about this site before hand.

“Foul”

Do not, and I repeat do not stay here. With hindsight I wish I'd stayed outside on the pavement (it would have been cleaner). The staff were initially friendly (when booking in) but once our money had been secured that all changed. First thing to greet us upon entering our room was a used cotton bud (complete with ear wax) - it then went downhill.

Positives? Didn't catch fleas and it has a new car park (they were surfacing it while we slept). This place deserves to go broke. Stay at your peril...
