“Beautiful”

Imperial Samui Hotel

We stayed for 10 days at the Imperial and thought it was great.

Nothing was any problem - check in was so nice with a nice cool drink provided - we paid for a standard room but thought it a little small (although balcony was huge) so we asked if a larger room was available - they upgraded up to a junior suite for no extra cost - no hassle.

Breakfast was vast and highly recommended

Two pools - the one by the beach was divine - saltwater with infinity edge was perfect for cooling off in and lounging around - not an Aussie lap pool - more a lesuire pool, but there is a second pool which is about 25m long if you need exercise.

Location for us was perfect about 15 - 20 min walk along the beach to main town of Chaweng if you need a littel action but far enough away to be quiet. There is also local transport or the hotel bus if you need a lift into town.

Beach is the most pituresque we saw on Samui - nice white sands and warm sea water.

Room was large and well equiped - serviced daily - nice balcony

Close by are two perfect resturants - Charming and Beach Love - both great food, cheap and on the beach so very romantic at night. Charming was our favorite and we went there probably 5 lunchtimes and 2 evenings - run by a lovely guy who booked us some trips cheaper than the advertised price.

Some peole might find the steps in the resort anoying - we didn't as the gardens are beautiful and the steps and slopes are cleverly built into the gardens - we apprecited the little bit of exercise as we found we were eating and drinking far too much

Overall a lovely experience

“Great Place and convenient location”

Imperial Samui Hotel

My girlfriends and I selected this place because we wanted to be close to the bar scene at Chaweng but not on top of it. While you cannot walk there, it is close enough for a taxi or public bus. I really started to appreciate this place once we rented a car and drove around the island stopping at various resorts. We stopped by the Four Seasons and while gorgeous to look at, it was very steep and isolated. Also the beach there wasn't good. The breakfast at the Imperial was really, really good with an omelet bar and lots of choices (Asian and Western). The beach at the hotel is really, really nice but the vendors walking by are pretty annoying- avoid making eye contact. You can get a very reasonable massage at the hotel on the beach (daily). The location is also very close to some very good seafood restaurants on the beach you can walk to which is nice. One great feature about this hotel that we didn't find anywhere else was a nice large air conditioned lounge (with bar). When you need a break from the heat you can lounge with a book under the cool air enjoying the views. The rooms were really cute but small. We had a nice view of the beach. When in town, you should dine at the Cliff House restaurant for a real treat (can reach by taxi). By the way, I suggest you call Expedia to book. We were able to get a slight discount to the online charge. Be sure to take mosquito repellent and sunscreen.

We had an amazing 10 days in this hotel.
We were after a serious beach holiday and this was exactly what we needed.
Our room was very comfortable without being exceptional.
The grounds of the hotel were kept immaculately.
When they say the hotel is on the beach they really mean on the beach!!! We spent most days laying on the beach ordering drinks and food from the many cheerful hotel staff.
The breakfast provided was excellent and the restaurant was also quite good.

“Beautiful Island and Wonderful Hotel”

Imperial Samui Hotel

Apr 22, 2008

The Imperial Samui is a beautiful hotel with lush gardens and a wonderful beach. It is a very quiet hotel away from the hustle and bustle of Chaweng Road. We just spent 2 wonderful weeks there from March 20th thru April 3rd and were so happy to have chosen this resort after so much research.

Down the road is a wonderful Tailor (G. Joseph) by the Charming Restaurant. They do quality work and the food at Charming is very good and inexpensive. Many of our hotel guests were having dinner and lunch there just to change the pace somewhat. You can also take a Songthew and go to Fisherman's Village where they have great shopping and excellent restaurants without the smell of Chaweng Road.

I celebrated a birthday at the Imperial Samui and they made it very special. They sent flowers to my room and also a birthday cake along with the traditional Happy Birthday Song! It was totally awesome.

If you plan to go diving, although the resort has a diving school, Easy Divers, I would definitely recommend The DiveAcademy. They are very professional, organized and go out on speed boats. I had the greatest experience with them. The Owners of this establishment are Paul and Sara. They are from the UK and are very accommodating and professional. I give them 2thumbs up in every respect. I recommend this resort and dive school to everyone. Total paradise!!!

“Pardise Hotel”

Imperial Samui Hotel

We had the pleasure of being a guest at this superb hotel for 8 nights following on from a week in Sydney and it was excellent. As with previous reviews we could not fault anything about the hotel. From the moment we arrived the staff were most welcoming and helpful. The room was spotless clean with daily changes of linen and towels. The pool areas were most relaxing and because we were staying near the reception we had a litte nature walk everyday walking through the beautiful gardens, feeding the fish and watching the frogs and lizards jump out of our path.
The food was also without fault the breakfast was fit for a King, with food of all decription on offer for all tastes. The restaurants meals were also delicious and very reasonably priced. We ate at the hotel most days for lunch and visited many of the delightful restaurants in Chaweng most evenings. We booked a day tour sightseeing the other islands around Koh Samui at the hotel which was really enjoyable and we also hired a car and driver here to enable us to see all the sights around the island (we were not brave enough to try the motorbikes, which are very dangerous!). This was a fantastic way of seeing what Samui has to offer and is also very inexpensive.
We also tried the Spa at the hotel which gave some of the best treatments we've ever had.
It was our first time in Thailand and because of the memories we've brought home will definatey be back. For us it was heaven on earth and we will never forget it.
