Devastation in wake of Cyclone Nargis
Cyclone Nargis has left more than 22,000 people dead and tens of thousands missing in southern Myanmar. The storm hit early morning on May 3, triggering a tidal wave that rose over 12 feet and caused major damage to Yangon (Rangoon), Myanmar's largest city, and to the Irrawaddy Delta. More than one million people may be homeless, and the death toll could reach 100,000.
