For a half day sail combined wih one of the coolest snorkels in the Virgin Islands, try Fury Sailing. Capt Mike picks up at the Marriott Frenchmans Reef twice a day for snorkel trips and in the afternoon does a nice sunset sail. They actually sail both directions and the ocean is full of green sea turtles out at Buck Island. Click the link above or call (340) 643-7733.

Some believe sailing for and from Frenchman's Reef twice a day to Buck Island is too rushed.   By the time you got to know your morning guests' names it's time to bring them back to shore, clean the boat, grab a quick lunch, and get ready for the afternoon group.  The guests don't have time to truly unwind, and the guests have minimal time in the water.  Away from the cookie cutter half day sails offered from downtown hotels, try the more leisurely full day sails from the East End of St. Thomas to St John's National Park waters.

Day sailing and chartering tours often anchor in several spots for a change of scenery (no two reefs and snorkeling areas are alike !)   Today,  among others, you can search TripAdvisor or Google for s/v High Pockets, s/v Alaunt  and s/v Winifred ( www.sailwinifred.com ) and read the accolades.  Smooth sailing wherever you set your course.
