One of the little known secrets among locals is TICKETPLACE, run by the Cultural Alliance of Greater Washington DC.  The local equivalent of NYC's fame TKTS booth.  You can buy half-price, day-of-show and half-price advance sales for theatre, dance, music, perforamnce and exhibitions for DC, Northern VA and Maryland.  Tickets are on sale for theatre as largte as Kennedy Center and Ford's Theatre to Woolly Mammoth.  The Booth is located at 407 7th Street NW Washington, DC (between D & E Sts.)
