Bangkok, a city with plenty of luxurious restaurants and great tastes for everyone.

A very good Chinese restaurant is located in JW Marriott hotel near Sukumvit area. The decor is very Chinese style and the service superb. The variety of the menu is very large. You can try Cantonese cuisine, Thai cuisine and general south-east Asian tastes; all this in a truly magnificent enviroment. Prices are around 100 euros for two persons, maybe a little bit more including wine.

Another good restaurant is located in Hotel Intercontinental, very close to the Sukumvit area. It is on the mezzanine floor and is buffet style as well as a la carte. The tastes are international. The service and the style are excellent. After a good dinner, it is a must to have a drink in the lobby bar which has live music from a band.

In the same hotel (Intercontinental) there is also a very charming Italian restaurant. It is unbelievable that in Thailand and especially in this restaurant you can have original Italian food, sweets, drinks etc. It is located on the ground floor and it looks as though you are in a yard with umbrellas etc.

There is another very good Italian restaurant called Biscotti at the nearby Four Seasons Hotel (155 Rajadamri Road), just around the corner from Intercontinental. Their pasta is simply heavenly.

Generally, Bangkok's 5 star hotels have very fine restaurants in my opinion, finer than the restaurants you can find in other capitals.
