They are very helpful and immensely proud of their modern and recent history ,and will often give impromptu history lessons to visitors. They are fiercely protective of family,friends, and guests and generally have no problem helping strangers. Egyptians genuinely want  visitors to enjoy their time in  the land of the Pharaohs.
