Visitors have a few options for getting to Suva from within Fiji , but for most, a flight is the first step towards reaching Fiji .

There are only two international airports located in Fiji , and both are found on the island of Viti Levu .

The Nadi International Airport, is the country’s largest and busiest airport, and the majority of its visitors will land there.  Nadi is located on the other side of Viti Levu , and is around 200 km away from Suva .  Transfer to Suva is available by private car, minibus, or coach.  For more information, check out this Getting from Nadi to Suva page. Another option for getting to Suva is to rent a car once arriving to Nadi.  However, first time visitors to the country should check out this Driving in Fiji page before deciding to get behind the wheel of a car.

The Nausori International Airport is located on the east side of Viti Levu , about a thirty minute drive away from Suva .  This is a much smaller airport than the one found in Nadi, and has fewer international connections. Transfer is available to Suva by taxi, minibus or coach.
