For many Napa residents, Napa isn’t just an address but a lifestyle. There’s a certain languidness to life here, and many residents enjoy the slower, less-hurried lifestyle than you can find in San Francisco and Oakland.
Life many areas, Napa has an “old town” area filled with interesting old homes that are lovingly restored and kept to the quality of their former grandeur. The tree-lined streets in these neighborhoods make for an enjoyable and leisurely drive at the end of a Napa weekend.
Other areas of Napa offer diverse housing options. For a mix of WWII housing and modern executive-style homes, head for the west part of Napa. In this area called Browns Valley, you can enjoy many curved roads with cul de sacs to boot. The diversity of housing can make for an interesting drive.
In more modern housing there are several choices. You can check out homes located at the Silverado Country Club, or in Circle Oaks, a rural subdivision at which each home is sitting on ¼ acre.
Napa is not a frugal-minded house hunter’s dream, but outside of Napa, near Lake Berryessa, there are homes offered at more entry-level prices. There are also several senior housing developments and apartment complexes that are designed with an eye toward affordability.
