I used to love taking long road trips and staying in small towns all over Texas, but am waiting until the kids are a little older to do that again! I love all of Texas but the Hill Country is my favorite area. I love camping, but also special little hotels. lMO Port Aransas is Texas' best beach town. I've lived in Austin, Dallas, Coppell, Denton, Corpus Christi, Wimberley, and Del Rio. I was an exchange student in Spain. Chicago is my favorite U.S. city! I'd rather eat a Taco Al Pastor, a Chicago style hot dog, BBQ brisket, or a State Fair Corn Dog than have dinner in an upscale restaurant; would rather buy folk art than a designer handbag; prefer a DosXX to a martini; and when traveling, am happiest in a "dive" bar, listening to live music, and hanging out with the locals... If money was no object, I'd travel similarly, but further and more frequently, and drink better wine! That about sums it up...
