I am a single mom and busy healthcare provider. I take the time to enjoy one solo trip annually, mostly to off-the-beaten path destinations. It is my desire to return home not only refreshed, but also able to look at my lifestyle and choices in the U.S. through a different lens. Traveling solo affords me the opportunity to talk with and form brief friendships with both other travelers and locals, that I would not likely seek in the comfort of a traveling group.
